Omega adds three new models to its successful Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer collection: Two in stainless steel and one titanium

The Worldtimer version of the Aqua Terra line was launched in 2017. As the most complicated version it came with a bang, in the form of a 87-piece limited edition in platinum. An impressive watch but not necessarily a substantial model in the collection. However, in 2019 the Worldtimer became part of the permanent collection, available in steel and Sedna gold and with the typical dial lay-out, having the realistically visualised globe displayed in the centre.

Based on that theme Omega has now launched three new 2023 versions, two in stainless steel and on in titanium. The globe is slighly domed and is surrounded by a sunbrushed PVD dial in green (in case of the steel versions) and an outer ring showing world cities, including Omega’s hometown Bienne. The titanium version has a black and grey dial, completely produced by laser. The laser-engraved colours on the world map are stunning, on the steel version in harmony with the hands and the green dial, on the titanium slightly contrasting.

The steel Worldtimer comes with a green rubber strap or metal bracelet, the titanium has a black structured rubber strap, completing the overall look of the watch and it comes with a grade 2 titanium clasp.

The Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938, an automatic movement that has met the highest standards of precision demanded by METAS. Since 2015 Omega has been making use of the very stringent test procedures of this Swiss institute. It will undergo 8 tests over a 10-day period and comes on top of the COSC certification.

The three new versions are available now, and priced at €11,500 and €11,800 for the steel versions and €13,300 for the titanium. Serious prices for an Omega, but good value considering what you get. Seriously good looking and well-crafted watches…
