2024 Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m

6 new versions of Omega’s Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m will hit the brand boutiques soon. An overview.

It’s been a busy week for Omega. In the gap between LVMH January novelties and the forthcoming Watches and Wonders avalanche, the brand from Biel is presenting updated 2024 versions of the new Constellation and the Seamasters Aqua Terra and Planet Ocean. Let’s pick the latter, and see what they’re up to.

Six References, Three new colours

The Planet Ocean line of the Seamaster has evolved in a serious collection in itself with the addition of six references, three time-and-dates and three chronographs. The time-and-date measures 43,5 mm, the chrono 45,5. The time-and-date models are powered by the in-house Master Chronometer calibre 8900 automatic with 60h power reserve. The chronograph have the in-house automatic Master Chronometer calibre 9900 with 60h power reserve. A steel foldover clasp is delivered with all versions.

The dial colours and matching straps are quite understated, earthy if you like, and look really good. We have a beige version, shown here in chrono, with brown sub-dials. Note the brown pushers, making it very well-balanced in my opinion.

Next to the beige we have the darker gunmetal version, shown here in time-and-date. The sandblasted dial has a galvanic treatment, contrasting with the beige hands and indexes. Perhaps the most classic of the new range.

The silver and green version, here shown as a chonograph, has contrasting green ceramic sub-dials and a matching green ceramic bezel. Again, all colours come as both time-and-date and chrono.

Boutique Only

Available immediately, all versions are labeled as boutique-only, meaning these will be available through Omega’s brand boutiques worldwide. Prices start at € 7,800 for the time-and-date versions and € 9,900 for the chronographs. The beige versions are slightly more expensive.
