TAG Heuer at LVMH Watch Week 2025

TAG Heuer is off for an ambitious start of 2025 at the LVMH Watch Week in Los Angeles. A dive into the novelties.

It has become a yearly tradition: The first major watch event of the calendar year comes from LVMH. And today the sixth LVMH Watch Week will kick off from the US West Coast. The event is getting bigger by the year and for the 2025 edition the returning brands (TAG Heuer, Hublot, Zenith, Bulgari, Daniel Roth and Gerald Genta) will be joined by newcomers Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and L’Epee 1839.

TAG Heuer is taking the stage this week with a number of novelties and, next to some new Carrera iterations, the Formula One will be the talking piece. And for a reason: As you know LVMH has become the global timekeeper for Formula One, and TAG Heuer is probably the brand that will most benefit from that affiliation. Let’s have a look at the pieces.

Formula One

Few connections are so natural as the one between TAG Heuer and Formula One. In the 1970’s Jack Heuer positioned himself as a paddock-insider and managed to get his watches on the wrists of many drivers, in times where ambassadorship wasn’t a thing an agreements were settled with a handshake.

The Formula One line originated in 1986 and made waves as an affordable (quartz) and colorful sports watch, and was the first watch to carry the TAG Heuer name. Fast forward to 2025 the model has evolved into a watch that blends racing heritage with modern craftmanship while being accessible to a large audience. At the LVMH Watch Week 2025 five new models are revealed: 4 chronographs and one limited edition in collaboration with Oracle Red Bull Racing.

All watches carry the Caliber 16 movement and come in a 44mm titanium case which is either sandblasted or in Black DLC. The Red Bull version stands out with a blue opaline dial with checkered patterns, while the casebook is engraved with the brand logos and the same checkered patterns. Prices start at CHF 4,600 to CHF 5,300 for the Oracle Red Bull.

Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche Rallye

In the fifth year of TAG Heuers’ partnership with Porsche the brand tapped into the rich racing history of the iconic 911 model, and more specifically the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally. It was the first year of the 911 and a lightly modified example with number “147” finished second in class in the snow-covered rally.

To commemorate, TAG Heuer launches two models: one in steel on bracelet and one in 18K gold, limited to only 11 pieces. The black dial is inspired by vintage Heuer dashboard timers and beige details reflecting the 911’s interior. Powered by the TH20-08 Chronosprint movement, the watch replicates the 911’s acceleration, with a central second hand that accelerates for the first 15 seconds before slowing down. The steel version will retail at CHF 10,000 while the gold limited edition will be a true collectors piece at CHF 24,000.

Carrera Chronograph and Chronograph Tourbillon Purple Editions

Further enhancement of the Carrera collection comes with the purple-themed Chronograph and Tourbillon models. With a smoky black-to-purple gradient dial, paired with a domed Glassbox crystal, the light and depth makes you play with the watch to obtain a different view at any time. The Chronograph model, powered by the Calibre TH20-00 movement, offers an 80-hour power reserve and showcases refined craftsmanship. For collectors, the limited-edition Tourbillon version (200 pieces) takes center stage with its Heuer 02 (TH20-09) tourbillon movement, offering unparalleled precision and elegance. Both models are complemented by black leather straps with vibrant purple linings.

These new models are complemented by two diamond-set versions of the Carrera Chronograph and two diamond set pastel dialed versions of the Carrera Date. It illustrates the variety of the Carrera line and all in all a great and ambitious start for TAG Heuer in 2025.
