TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition

unique green dial on the iconic Carrera

The TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition is not only for purists, but also for a broader audience. Read our review.

This month TAG Heuer kicks off the summer season in style, with the all-new Carrera Green Special Edition chronograph. Green seems to be the colour of choice these days, and TAG Heuer opens all registers to bring us something special. The Carrera will not need much introduction, being the centerpiece of TAG Heuers motor sport heritage since 1963 and having become an iconic watch over the years.

Looks from the very early Carrera ref. 2447

The Carrera Green Special Edition will appeal to both purists and to a broader audience. The purists will love the traditional looks that comes from the very early Carrera ref. 2447, more than 60 years ago developed and launched under Jack Heuer himself.

The broader audience will appreciate a timeless looking, contemporary 39mm chronograph with a splendid deep blue/green dial. The colour adds a touch of glamour to the functional, classic tri-compax chronograph set-up that is synonymous with the Carrera, and the package is well-balanced and proportioned.

The caseback shows a good view on the Caliber Heuer 02 manufacture movement, comprising of 168 parts, including a column-wheel and vertical clutch, and with an 80-hour power reserve.

TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition

The Carrera Green Special Edition is a watch that stands out and will probably appeal to a lot of watch aficionados.
